Air Conditioning problem

Last year i serviced my AC system and used the AC a couple of days but later the AC Blower Fan suddenly stopped working and it was nearly winter so i thought i would fix it later,now a few days back i went to a AC guy and he fixed the fan but the cooling was very low and it was hot even in night,the guy checked and said that your AC's Compressor is making some type of noise and maybe the bearing of compressor is broken or something. So can you please find a solution for this its very hot here i just want to know that what exactly is wrong the compressor or something else.
