1996 Other Suzuki Models Clutch

My sidekick was having shifting problems..it did not go into reverse unless I shifted into first, then let it roll back..then it would shift into reverse..

Though sometimes the stick shift would chatter and not go into reverse..

So I had a new clutch, clutch cable and adjuster installed..that was just last week..now the same thing is happening all over again..what could the problem be?
