1993 Other Suzuki Models acts like it is miss firing

I have a 93 suzuki swift 1.3liter sohc. it starts fine and idles fine, but when driving it acts like it is missfiring. i have replaced the plugs, plug wires, distributer cap, and rotor and oxygen sensor. after I replaced the cap and rotor it ran fine. then the next day it started doing it again, just not as often. I even removed the damaged catalaic convertor. Any ideas were to go next. could it be a timing belt, or bad distributor?

I had a similar problem with my 97 Sidekick 4cyl 1.8. I tried 2 different plugs until I noticed in my manual it said to use NGK brand plugs. Since I put those in I haven't had the problem. I don't know if it will fix your problem, but it might be worth a try.

I think they are available at most auto part stores. I got mine at Advanced Auto Parts / Parts America. I know O'Reilly carries them also. Let us know how it goes.

I also had the same type of problem with my Suzuki
Forsa Turbo , but only when it got hot.
If your Swift still acts this way with new NGK plugs in it, you may have an intermittant injector if it is fuel injected.
