Suspension switch to either coil overs or a shock suspension?

I currently have airbags for suspension, but they are a pain to inflate, and the air compressor keeps draining my battery. and I am looking to switch to either coil overs or a shock suspension. Does anyone have any suggestions for reliable pair of coil overs that are under $500 a pair?
