Replaced the strut about 6 months ago and just replaced the sway bar links today thinking that was it they definitely needed it, but the knocking still persists. Anyone have any ideas?

Most of the time after struts and sway bar links you have lower ball joint or sway bar to body mounts, also when you did the struts did you do the strut mounts? (Entire strut) use a flashlight to inspect # 13, 11 and #9 lower control arm bushings in the diagrams below. Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so I can hear the noise? That way I can tell for sure what's going on. You can upload it here with your response.

This guide may help out as well:

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.

I replaced the whole strut assembly that I ordered off rock auto If that helps, haha. I will get a video to you as soon as I get a chance. In the last year I've replaced the strut assembly cv axle wheel bearing and now the sway bar links.

Can you look at the sway bar to frame mounts to see if they are bad? Good job getting the entire strut, so we know it's not the strut mount.

I'm currently uploading a video and the sway bar seems to be still as can be. It sounds like there's something loose rattling around? I have no idea what it is.

As I drove it this morning, I noticed it's not my suspension or anything to do with it because it doesn't happen over bumps alone but it's also kind of random too whereas I've noticed to hit some bumps with nothing happening where I felt it should have if it were a suspension issue.

Thanks for the videos, it sounds like the noise is inside the car, when it makes the noise can you press on the dashboard to see if it changes? Also move the HVAC settings to see if that affects it. It could be a blend door actuator noise.

It's outside, maybe this video might help some more. I did that with my HVAC, and it didn't make any difference. Yesterday I sat on my motor while I had my buddy drive down the street to see if I could physically see anything and I can confirm it has to do with the suspension I just don't know what part. The noise coincides with the movement of my sway bar, but my sway bar is as tight as can be so I'm thinking maybe it is my strut or even that strut mount.

I found this sitting on top of my frame basically by my sway bar mount. Any idea what it goes to?

Thanks for the pics and videos. The part you found looks like the sway bar mount bushing which will definitely cause the noise. Here is how you can replace it in the images below. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find.

It really doesn't look like there's anything wrong with either side unless that's not supposed to come off the bottom?

Maybe it was on the road and the car just picked it up which is possible.

Yeah, I guess I never thought about that. I'm starting to think that it's my strut mount. that's what it sounds like where it's coming from.
