Started with VSA, Check engine light. Cam and crank shaft sensors replaced, suddenly stalls when driving, engine also will suddenly rev up and down. The idle seemed fine and the check engine light gets cleared with OBD reader, but upon driving for a minute the vehicle stalls on a dime, or it surges, or revs. I recorded some of the sound, don't hear metal clanging, doesn't backfire. The P0341 shows up again. Help.

There are a number of things that can cause this, so we need to start with the testing that I am including below.

There is a bulletin that Honda put out for this code which is what I am attaching.

Basically, they are saying that there is a possible issue with the variable timing actuator or PCM.

This is a pretty common issue on these systems because when there is debris that goes through the oil system it damages the actuator so that is what they are having you check.

The typical cause of this is metal going through it so we should also drain the oil and see if there is any metal in the oil.

Please run through this and let me know if you have questions.
