Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

First, is the engine starter turning the engine in effort to start? Also, I need you to check of the brake lights are working. The park interlock solenoid is powered via the brake light switch. If they are not working, it could be a blown fuse or a bad switch.

Next, I need you to check fuses under the hood in the power distribution box. Check fuses 22, 34 and 36. See attached pictures.

If when you turn the key, nothing happens, I suspect fuse 22. Fuse 22 powers the brake lights and the park/neutral switch. Regardless, check all the ones I mentioned and let me know what you find.

Take care,
Joe

The engine does not do anything when you turn the key. The dashboard goes off when you try to start the engine.

Okay. It sounds like one of two things. Either you have a very weak battery or there is a loose or corroded connection at the battery. Read through these links and let me know if it helps.

Also, to test the battery, follow this link.

Could it be the ignition switch we had replaced it before?
