1985 Subaru Wagon 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual HIGH miles

It Just Started To get cold and I should have waited a little longer to go. now its acting as if it were to cold for it to start. any ideais?

It will run for a sec, then just stop. I have to keep my foot two the floor wsith the gas pedal to even get it to do that. Befor it did that it was going real slow in all the gears and it would ask me to shift early (on the control pannel) and sound as if it needed it? can you help me out?
