Yesterday 2/23/08, I was told from a tire shop that 2 of my inner tie-rods were loose and needed to be replaced. They also said I needed a wheel alignment after they replaced the tie-rods. The alignment on 4-wheels was done, but I was told that there is no adjustment capability of camber adjustments for the rear. They said I needed to buy a special camber kit in order to adjust the rear & left camber. My right rear was -0.9 degrees which the range is -0.9 degrees to 0.6 degrees. My left rear was -0.3 degrees. The tire service shop looked up to see if a camber kit for the rear is available and according to them it said that it is not available for my subaru year. I find it hard to believe as long as Subaru has been making All-wheel drive, that they don't have this camber adjustment built in. Can you verify this information the shop told me. Also what would cause both my tie-rods to be loose enough and be replaced. Aren't these simply a adjustment for toe?
By the way, I donated $10.00 for this question.
