2001 Subaru Outback

I recently removed my stereo and put it back in and now when i turn on my headlights the sound no long comes out of the speakers even though the time continue to tick. If the headlights are on and i adjust the dash light dimness, buzzing noise comes out of the speakers with or without the radio on. What might be the electrical problem here?

HI there,

If this is a factory radio and the loom is a dedicated plug, i would check the radio earth and look for any rubbing on the loom where it may be breaking through the insulation, if after market re check your wiring carefully.
