i have a 99 subaru outback & sometimes when i switch from reverse into drive, it wont engage until i press the gas pedal which causes it to jerk. there r also times that it takes a few times shifting between park & drive before it engages. any ideas whats goin on??

Hi there,

This may be a sticky shift valve, often a service can sort this out, get it done by a trans tech as they will be able to pick up on any other problem that may be there, start here.
