My husband's 1990 Subaru Legacy with 133,000 miles on it needs a valve replacement. Our question is whether this is an urgent repair need or whether we can let "ignore" the ping for awhile. We just bought our first home so money is a bit tight. However, we don't want to risk engine damage by letting this go. We had a diagnostic test done and the valves were the source of the engine knocking. Thank you!
