injector pulse

'01 subaru outback, 2.5,MT. Just installed an engine from a 2000, had auto trans. Had to change the intake, and swap to flywheel. No injector pulse. Swapped all sensors, thinking perhaps they were different.Still no pulse. Does Subaru ground injectors through the ecm? Help!

Type of ignition system do you have- Could be a CMP or CKP sensor not sending it the ECU to activate the injectors. Even if the ECU grounds the injector-it has to get an ignition signal to pulse the injector/s.
