I have a 2000 Subaru Legacy. I left the window down about 4 inches and it rained. Now the power lock buttons don't work but...when I'm driving they lock and unlock constantly. Also, when I push the power window button, the doors unlock when releasing it. Did something short out?

Hi JPVance,

Thank you for the donation.

Yes, seems water has gotten to the main switch and is causing havoc to the system. The door swich or actuator has also bee affected which has resulted in the doors locking and unlocking constantly.

So, do I need to replace the power window/lock switch (the part with the buttons) or something inside the door?

Inside the door there is only the actuator. Try drying up the switch first to see if it works. That should be the most likely cause of the problem.
