1999 Subaru Legacy All Wheel Drive Automatic 112000 miles

I just took my subaru in for an oil change and ever since the appointment, have been experiencing these problems: as i accelerate, i hear something winding up and winding down as i decelerate. it gets worse when i take tight turns- although seems to be related to the acceleratioin as well. I just don't get it. It has 112k miles and in good condition. Don't laugh- but could it be related to the alternator? Firestone said my battery was low on juice (although it is from sears and should have a good 1.5 years left)- they were looking to replace it. Could it have anything to do with power steering fluid or CV joints?
I'm clueless!

The other problem, at what point would you recommend a new timing belt for this vehicle? It has never been replaced- although the serpentine belt was replaced already.

The repair manual states that a timing belt change is required at 100,000 miles. I would do it soon, you don't want that problem.
