When I start to drive you can hear a thumping sound from the rear end. The faster you go the faster the thump and it eventually sounds like a roaring sound due to speed. When you apply the brakes it changes the pitch of the thump and when I take a right hand turn it does as well. Only the to the right, not the left. Is it more brake related or rear dif? What happens if your rear dif goes while your driving?

You'll be out of commission -Don't worry the rear differential is not gonna fall apart there's upper and lower control arms that's holding it together.

No its not gonna lock up-if the spider gear is gone in the pumpkin it will freewheel. If you're too worried about it get it inspected-it has a problem why gamble that might cause you to get stranded.
