My husband changed the engine in my car because it overheated and we got a used engine. He also bought a new radiator and put in the car. The car still overheats.

What are we missing?

Thanks.

I gave $10 for an answer and only received a question back. I guess I didn't give you enough. How much is enough?

Your donation is very much appreciate was not listed as a donor. Myself I'll answer a question with or w/o money.

Okay -lets restart now its idling hard-I assumed all tune-up parts were done recently. Did you perform a compression check on the used engine if not do so.

You need to inspect and test the idle speed control solenoid/throttle position sensor/oxygen sensors/PCV and EGR valves. When you complete these tests and it checks out then comeback and I'll get into the more complicated areas to find this culprit-

See my reply to the question about the 95 that overheats. I found this out the hard way, myself.
