I just did a brake job on my 96 Subaru, replaced the pads and rotors on all four corners. The first thing I noticed when I was finished was when I tried to pump the brakes up to set the piston back was my pedal was spongy. So I took it out for a test drive and and as long as I pumped the brakes it would stop fine, not normal from before I changed the brakes out. The next thing I noticed when I got home my drivers front was smoking it was so hot. I let it cool and pulled the tire to get a visual and nothing looked out of sort. I went for another short drive and let the car coast and it did not pull to the left when off or on the brake. Went back home and the wheel had smoke pouring off of it, pulled the tire off again, and and the rotor where the pads are in contact there is a black ring around it. Any ideas?? Thankyou.
