When the fans are on does it blow hot air? If not the t-stat could be defective, or some other flow restriction.Does it use coolant? no leaks in the system?

Hi joe zuerlein,

Does switching the AC on and off repeatedly cause the gauge to move up quickly?

If yes, you have a poor ground for the gauge.
