Two warning lights go on and off. One light is for the battery and the other is for the brakes. They go on and off together. It especially happens on the Interstate. It's happened the last 1,000 miles. Once when it was on somebody checked the voltage to the battery and said it was alright (I think it was 14.2v).

Should I ignore it?

I have a similar problem with my 1996 Outback. In addition if I leave my car sit unused for a week, there is a good chance it won't start. I just removed the alarm system, but the warning light issue continues. I am also getting 14.2v when running, but am not convinced the alternator is really charging the battery since recently after leaving it a week I drove 45 miutes, then the next day had it start then fail while driving. I had to run the car with a jump battery connected to get home. I may change my alternator/voltage regulator this weekend. If you've gotten a resolution, I'd love to hear about it.
