Needed a new starter - when tried to start car just got clicking sound - figured needed a solenoid - installed new starter, now nothing. No clicking, nothing. AND: when driving car after push starting it - when hit brakes, radio would stop playing for a few seconds - never did that before. AND: battery voltage checked - 12.7 volts.


What do I need to replace???

Sounds like you needed either a Battery, or battery cables...Clicking? or nothing at all? If you hear a click, then either the battery is weak, or the starter, possibly bad battery cable connections, check and clean both ends of BOTH cables! Dissconnect negative(-) first, and put it on last! If no click the starter relay is no good! You may have also got a defective rebuilt!
