It has been snowing a large amount the past couple of days, but i have been good about getting outside to start my car every day. Then today I get in it, let it warm up about 20 minutes, and drive. I get little to no acceleration at all at first, and when i start to go, basically what happens is the RPM's go straight to 4000, and I get very little acceleration. The car will go, but everything feels wrong and I am really dumbfounded.

If there's no problem with the clutch assy/tranny-Check and test the following below:

Oxygen sensor
Catalytic converter
Dirty fuel injectors (cleaning the injectors often fixes this).
Bad MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor
Bad TPS (throttle position) sensor
Bad or dirty MAF (mass airflow) sensor
Low fuel pressure (leaky fuel pressure regulator or weak fuel pump)
Vacuum leaks (intake manifold, vacuum hoses, throttle body, EGR valve)
Bad gasoline (fuel contaminated with water or too much alcohol)

Sometimes, what feels like a hesitation is actually ignition misfire rather than lean misfire. The causes of ignition misfire may include:

Dirty or worn spark plugs
Bad plug wires
Weak ignition coil
Wet plug wires
