Transmission problem
1995 Subaru Impreza 4 cyl Manual 173000 miles

Hi, I bought this car with no transmission and am in the process of getting the one I got for it in. I put everything together and I also put a new clutch kit in. So I got everything put together and while I was still in the air I turned on the car and shifted it into first to see if everything worked. It did so i decided to put on the rest of the stuff that was in the way and I dropped the car. This morning I go to turn on the car and the pedal just drops to the floor, and when I pull it, it flick back up. It obviously isn't the master cylinder cause the car is cable clutch not hydraulic. i don't think its the clutch cable because it actually pulls the clutch fork. What im guessing it is is that maybe the clips that go in between the clutch fork and throwout bearing came off and now the clutch wont engage? it smells a little like burned clutch but I think its because its new. I also forgot to point out that I can't shift into gears because it seems like the clutch is not engaging. I feel like I'm gonna have to drop the transmission again but I wanted another opinion beforehand. Thanks in advanced.
