Engine Performance problem
1984 Subaru GL 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual
1984 Subaru GL Wagon 1.8L 4WD, manual trans. Dies suddenly. Still turns over fine, all other electrics fine. Replaced coil and wires, no change. pour a little gas down the carb throat, no change. When it starts back up, runs fine (time varies from a few seconds to 30 minutes or more running just fine down the road or sitting still and then dies suddenly. Seems like something ahead of the coil must be messing with voltage to it, but not sure where to look. Or what might be wrong with the cap/rotor? I replaced those a few weeks ago and it ran fine until two days ago, so do not think they are the issue.
