2005 Subaru Forester clock

The clock display stopped working yesterday. Sometimes it comes on after a few minutes, sometimes it stays off. Is this an omen of bad things to come? The battery was replaced 18 months ago.

I have an '02 Forester that had the same problem. To save you time and money fix it yourself. Take out the clock and re-solder all the points. For some reason they go bad. It will work good as new.
