Hello -

We bought the vehicle w/ 85,000 miles. Brake pedal pressure has not changed, even though I have put new pads and rotors on (front) and new shoes (rear) with a hardware kit (new springs, etc).

The car/brakes stop the vehicle just fine, but the pedal goes "WAY" down before there is any back pressure. There is no sponginess in the pedal; very solid and firm.

If I step on pedal w/out engine running, pedal is about half-way on its travel (down). When car is started, the pedal depresses - still firm and solid, although much closer to the floor.

Can you point me in the right direction? Any help would be much appreciated.

Regards,

Vic Hall

first are you sure its not supposed to be that low some vehicles are different then others.

if its not normall and make sure the brake pedal is properly adjusted, with pedal down your foot should be able to fit under the floor and thebrake pedal.
