Hey guys, need your input. I have taken my pickup to a local normally very reliable mechanic, who specializes in Toyota/Lexus vehicles to no avail.
My truck is in great shape but is having a stuttering issue at higher speeds, approximately sixty five to seventy mph. And to top it off, it occurs very sporadically or intermittently. I drives out beautifully but just occasionally has a very irritating stutter, it feels like a fuel flow problem but I am not sure what is causing it. My mechanic recently replaced the brain box but this did not stop the issue as we had hoped. He thinks it may either be in the distributor or fuel pump, but is hoping the box will give us a check engine in the dash so that we can diagnose the issue from a code, but not check engine lights have appeared, even after the problem has occurred several times lately. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.
