Stuttering and intermitted check engine light?

Yep, this is common when the engine is misfiring, I would do a full tune up with spark plugs, ignition coils and a throttle body service. You can run the codes to confirm the engine misfire code which will warrant the tune up as well.

Install each spark plug to the cylinder head. Tighten spark plugs to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
