Transmission will not shift out of park?

The transmission is stuck in park. I can turn it on and off, but it won't shift out of park. I checked my brake lights, and they work so i was wondering if y'all know what i can do to fix it?

Hi,

The shift lock actuator must have either failed or lost power. When you press the brake pedal with the key in the run position, do you notice a click at the shifter?

There is a shift lock solenoid at the shifter. (see pic below). Take notice if there is any sound coming from that area.
