One day, my car was stuck in park. Now when I press the brake, there is no click sound for the shift interlock so annoying. I cannot get it out of park unless I use the manual override button. All the brake lights work properly so I don’t think it’s a brake sensor switch. I haven’t found any blown fuses. Also, there is no check engine light on. My best guess is something electrical with the shift interlock solenoid. How should I go about this problem?

The shift lock system has fuses that need to be checked, I would check either 5-amp shift lock or the 7.5-amp ECU IG #3 fuse, here is a guide to help and the shift lock wiring diagrams so you can see how the system works.

Here are the fuse locations as well, if the fuses are good let's check for power at the shift lock solenoid and if it has power when the step on the brake and it does not replace the solenoid is bad. Check out the images (below). Please upload pictures or videos in your response of any problems so we can see what to help you with.
