Stuck in limp mode?

Hi,

When you scanned for diagnostic trouble codes, did you scan the can-bus? CAN stands for controller area network.

Basically, all the different computers/modules are tied together via a few wires and communicate with each other. This type of scan will retrieve codes regardless of the module storing them. A traditional scan tool is most likely unable to do this.

Let me know. Also, let me know what sensors and solenoids have been replaced and what the vehicle was doing that led you to replace them.

Yes, we scanned all the codes. The van stopped going over 40. Showed a code for solenoid. Replaced the shift solenoid and solenoid pack, shift sensor and ABS wheel speed sensor.

If it is in limp mode, there should be a code or codes, so I wonder if we have something different happening. When you shift the gears, does the indicator show the correct gear? Were there any odd sounds related to the original problem?
