Would not stay started, now will not start

When you turn the key to the on position without cranking the engine over can you hear the fuel pump run in the tank for 5 seconds?

When i turn key to on position there's a hum for couple seconds then all the dash lights come on and it wont crank. I don't know if the hum is the fuel pump.

It does sound like you are hearing the pump. However, that doesn't mean it's producing enough pressure to make the engine run. Have you had the opportunity to check for fuel pump pressure to the engine?

If you want, try this: See if the engine starts for a couple seconds using starting fluid. If it starts and then stalls, we know it is a fuel related issue. Give that a try and let us know what you find.
