Stereo not working after putting in new battery

Replaced battery, now stereo gives the message 'please insert appropriate disc'. I've tried pushing all the buttons and nothing is working. Tried putting in a music CD and that did nothing. CD player worked previously. Really missing my tunes! Please help - thanks.

Look for a card in your owners pack that gives you the five digit code to reset the anti theft on the radio. If it's not there then contact the dealership where the car was purchased to possibly get the code from them. Sometimes they have it. If not then they may be able to help you retrieve it with the vin
