Steering wobble

I recently installed new front lower ball joints on both sides. After doing so went to drive it and now I have wobble in the steering which was not present before the new ball joints. I have checked the outer tie rod ends and they are solid, no slop in them. Had the front end aligned as well and still have this wobble. Also after installing the ball joints my VSA, VTM-4 lock triangle! and ABS lights are staying on. Advance Auto checked the computer with the scanner they have and one of the codes showed short in right front ABS sensor. Would that cause all the other lights to stay on? Any help with this would be appreciated.

Hi John,
Yes, when an error has been detected in the ABS system, it would trigger other warning lights as well. Have the sensor checked for proper installation and damage.
At what speed does the wobbling occur?
Are the tire threads good with no abnormality and out of round condition?
Lift up front tires and gently rock the wheels to check for slack in the wheel bearings and steering linkages.

Can feel the wobble when moving at a crawl speed just coasting without pressing on the gas, at 60 mph it is not as bad but still there. Slower speeds it is more wobbly. The tie rod ends are good.

What about the tire thread condition? Abnormal wear of tires can result in steering wobbling at low speed.
