If there is a leak in the front of my vehicle and is the power steering fluid that is leaking, could it be the power steering pump that's defective?

Good afternoon,

It could be but the lines are more common than the pump. I attached the procedure for replacing both the lines and the pump.

Once the leak is determined, then you know what to replace. I attached guides for you for determining the leaks.

If it's not the pump. how do I look up to purchase the lines?
Is there an item number to look for and where can I find them? Now, is this a very expensive job to replace the lines? How about replacing the pump, how expensive is the labor on this procedure?

Okay, the labor is 3 hours in a shop. That comes to arounds $350.00 to $400.00 depending on your area.

I attached the parts below for you from Rock Auto.

The total for parts is about $70.00 to $75.00.

If the problem are the lines, I need to order both pictures of cables?
Now, if it's the pump, should I just replace the lines anyway in case they need replacing some time later on?

If one line is leaking, I would replace both lines.

If the pump is leaking, just replace the pump.
