When turning while driving at low speeds there is a vibration and hear grinding noises coming from the wheel area?

Car starts normally, pulls forwards, and backwards normally. But when I turn going at slow speeds, I feel vibrations and hear grinding noises coming from the wheel area, possibly the steering column.

The car is also making a related whining noise and gets louder as the car gets faster. Not as the RPMs build but as the car gains speed, even down a hill in neutral.

Hi,

That sounds like a wheel-bearing issue. Do me a favor. When driving, see if the whining noise changes pitch when you turn left or right. If it does, my first suspect is a bad front wheel/hub bearing.

If it is grinding when going slowly into a turn, it could be bad enough to be dangerous. So, be careful and let me know what you find as far as the pitch changing.

Also, let me know if there is anything that changes the noise. For example, if you apply the brakes, does it change? Does it make a clicking sound when going slowly and making a sharp turn?
