Steel line on rack and pinion unit?

Could not a brake line work as a replacement line?
Also, anyone know what type of connection is used flair/double flare/compression ring etc.

It is the steel Rack and Pinion Hydraulic Transfer Tubing Assembly, the longer one.
Cardone Industries Part Number: 3L-1202.

Hello again.

I looked up the Cardone part number you provided. That part is $13.25. If you were to buy a length of brake line they only come straight with no bends. You would have to have access to a tubing bender and make your own bends. That seems like a lot of work. It looks to be a 3/8 size but if you don't want to buy the Cardone part I can find out the size for you. Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros.
