Starter not working

I replaced battery and starter is new as of like 8 months maybe. Cold crank is good, starts up no problem. After I drive for a while and get out, then start again it sounds really weak on startup like almost bad battery. Then if i get out again a few minutes later and then try to start it again it barely wants to start like it's a dead or almost dead battery. If i let it sit for a long time like overnight or all afternoon it starts up no problem. I am looking for any help on this .

This sounds like a battery issue so I would suggest having the battery load tested. This means they will induce a load on the battery and see if it is able to keep its charge. If not then you will need to replace it. Letting the battery sit allows the acid to drain to the bottom of the plates inside the battery which will allow the engine to turn over. I would get this checked soon because when they start doing this, it is not long before they fail. If I am correct then it is most likely a shorted cell.

Most parts stores can do this free of charge.

This was happening before I replaced the battery. I replaced battery and same thing happened. I took to a mechanic and he said new battery was bad, that they tested several times and half the time it failed. I took back 2xs to wal-mart and they tested it multiple times and it was good all the time. I did manage to get them to change it and the 2nd new battery is doing same thing. I cleaned the negative cable from start of the battery all the way to the engine where it finally stops. Not that it needed it really. So that did not fix the problem. Next?

It sounds like the starter motor is bad. I would get a high quality rebuild. here is a guide to help walk you through the repair. Also when you are doing the repair check the condition of the battery cables as well.
