Hello, I'm Danny.

Does the car have the check engine light on? If it is and you don't have access to a scanner/code reader most auto parts stores have a loaner program and will rent you one. Here is a tutorial showing how to read codes:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/checking-a-service-engine-soon-or-check-engine-light-on-or-flashing

It could also be a weak/failing fuel pump. You should perform a fuel pressure test.A tester can also be rented. Here is a fuel pressure test tutorial:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-fuel-system-pressure-and-regulator

Fuel pressure should be between 35-70 psi. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
