No crank no start issue

My car will not crank or start but the dashboard lights were flickering before the car shut down.

Flickering sounds like a bad connection, either at the battery or the battery itself is failing. Check the cable connections at the battery first, they should be clean of any corrosion and tight. Then check the connections for the other ends of the cables.
Be careful as the batteries tend to weep a bit and the acid can cause damage to clothes, skin or worse.
