The car listed above has a confirmed P0340 and a pending P0116, P0773 code. The customer told me where the engine was stalling while in motion and during that time the car just wouldn't start because the engine was very hot, but when they waited for an hour or more the car later started. What I noticed was that the car revved high intermittently on its own but will return to normal idle again about five second again, and the exhaust tailpipe was really darkened when I put my hand. Plugs, fuel pump and a relay (the don't know where the relay was removed though) was replaced by another engineer but the problem still persists. Please, how do I fix this problem?
Will replacement of part like camshaft position sensor fix this problem?

The Code P0340 says the camshaft sensor is not working or the timing belt has jumped a tooth. How is the engine power output when it does run? Here is the location of the camshaft sensor so you can change it out. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Well, because of the weather condition (raining heavily) I didn't test drive the car to know how it does perform.
But what should the CMP sensor specification value be?
I will give you feedback on what I observe.

Cold 835 -1,400 ohms
Hot 1,060 - 1,645 ohms

Please let us know.

Thank you so much for the support you've rendered to me!
I checked there and didn't see the CMP sensor nor a hole where it should've fitted into, however, I saw the connector only. Fortunately, I saw the fault today. I was imagining why the code for temperature sensor displayed hence it prompted me to ask the car owner if they've ever experienced overheating with the car. He acknowledged that fact and was more detailed in his explanation, that the fan was not working, and the radiator had been leaking and they kept adding water. It was the cooling system that was causing the water temperature sensor code to show. The radiator was leaking water and one of the two fans was not working. so, when the car is hot, it stalls. But it will restart after the car is left to cool. Although I didn't test run it because he told me the fuel was low.
I have fixed the fan. Both are working now but for the radiator I told them to give it to a specialist on radiator to fix the leak.

In addition, I showed them the timing belt condition and encouraged them to budget for a new one before this one now installed completely wear out and cut off at a time they don't expect.

I contacted them yesterday through phone and asked about the condition of the car when they are in motion. They were very happy and told me that it was test driven for a long distance and back, but the stalling didn't occur again. However, they've not fixed the minor radiator leak yet but will do that very soon. I persuaded them not to hesitate in doing that.

Good call, it would be a shame to overheat it after you got it running good.
