Stalling issues

Car stalls instantly from cold start but stalls as soon as operating temperature is reached. After stalling it must sit about eight hours before it will start again. Starter turns engine but no attempt to fire until engine is completely cold and then starts instantly only to repeat the cycle of stalling.
Crank position sensor replaced, fuel pump relay replaced.

Sounds like a bad coolant temperature sensor (not the one for the gauge, the one that signals the PCM, if they are separate sensors). A failed CTS will tell the PCM (computer) that the engine is very cold and the PCM will then feed lots of fuel. Since the engine is actually cold at startup, it runs fine. As the engine warms up, the air/fuel mixture becomes too rich to burn and the engine stalls and won't restart until it cools enough to run at the A/F mixture being commanded by the bad sensor.

Thanks. I will get it ordered and replace it. I wasn't available at either MBZ dealer in town. I'll heck parts house for universal until I can get an MB part.

Any one from the auto parts store that fits will be fine. Delphi, Borg-Warner, Wells, etc., they are all the same. The one Mercedes Benz (or any other auto maker) sells is made for them by someone else.
