Why does my car squeal only when I move?

Hello,

Usually a squeal is going to be something to do with your serpentine belt. Check your serpentine belt and all the pulleys that the belt is running with your vehicle running. Have a helper rev the engine up, if needed to get the squeal to happen. If it is coming from the belt itself, you can get belt dressing from your local auto parts store for around $5.00 to $10.00. If it is a pulley, then the bearing is going bad and it will need to be replaced. I have included a link for you to go to below:

It starts to only squeal when I start moving forward and stops when I step on the brakes.

Hello,

Okay, sorry about that. I didn't quite understand the original question. This is probably the squealer on your brake pads. Brake pads come with a "squealer" that is made of soft metal and when the pads need to be changed it will make contact with the rotor alerting you that the brake pads need to be replaced.
