Just recently my vehicle has started squeaking while driving over bumps, 30 MPH or faster.
Brakes are new and the squeak doesn’t change when I brake.
I replaced the torsion bar bushings, which fixed a minor clunk I had been hearing on and off for over a year.
No sounds when turning tight or turning the steering wheel back and forth.
Everything else looks fine, nothing super loose and no obvious damage to be seen.
I’m thinking pully, but would like to know if anyone else has this problem and save me some time before I begin the process.

Hi,

If it is happening when going over bumps, are you able to reproduce it by bouncing the front of the vehicle?

If so, have a helper bounce it while you check to see if there is noise from the sway bar bushings, ball joint, control arm bushing, or shock. See pic below

Let me know what you find.

Take care,

joe

I had to really jump on the bumper, but I was able to get a similar sounding squeak out of the front suspension, thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for the update. If you heard it when bouncing the vehicle, it is likely either a bushing or ball joint.

Let me know if I can help.

Take care,

Joe
