Sputters backfires and stalls

Have to pedal the gas to keep SUV running and unless you gas it the whole time it shuts down. It pops and backfires loud as heck when doing this. I have changed the plugs wires and distributor. Still popping and backfiring will not run without gassing it the whole time.

It sounds like the spider fuel injector has gone out. Can you tell me which engine you have? CPI or PI? If you are not sure please send me a video or picture of the engine. A video of it running and stalling would be best. You can upload it here in your reply from your phone.
