speedometer and odometer not working

Let's start with checking for codes.

This will dictate what direction we go. If they are related to the speedometer or shifting then we will chase those down. If not then we need to go after the speed sensor and check it out.

P0700 Transmission Control System (Mil Request).

P0700 is an indicator code only. It is saying that there is a code(s) stored in the transmission control module that has turned on the MIL. Most of the simple code readers will not scan for those, they may scan the engine and ABS but not much farther. The places that scan for free sometimes can scan the TCM but many will not. So you need to do a deeper scan first, then go from there.

The code reader shows speed under the vvs when I'm driving. Haven't been able to get it to a shop to look farther into the code. shifting wise, it just doesn't seem to shift higher than 3rd. Usually sits around 3000rpm at 55mph.

RPM sounds high for that speed, A scan tool to read the transmission codes will help. It could be something as simple as a bad solenoid. Let us know what the scan shows for codes. If you shift it manually from low and up can you get it to go into 4th?

So the initial problem was speedometer/odometer stop working . That's when I noticed the shifting issue, which sounds like a limp mode because vvs not working but code reader shows speed when driving.
Total list of codes PO700 is under stored. And P0713, 0760,0750, 0743, 0707.

More then likely you have an issue with the connector shown in the attachments or the circuits for the solenoid valves. These codes are for the 2/4 solenoids, on/off solenoid, and the torque converter solenoid. Also a faulty PCM could be causing this so let's run through this info and see what comes up.
