Speedometer not working

I just bought this car used and after driving it for a few days I noticed that the speedometer has stopped working. My ABS and Check Engine lights are on. I plugged a Scan tool in and got an error C1244 (Open or Short Declaration Sensor Circuit). I don't know what that is and what to do about the speedometer that has stopped working and what I can do about that warning lights that have refused to go off. I'd appreciate all help I can get at this point. I love this car and I don't want to have to take it back for a trade-in. Thank you.

Good evening,

The most common cause for this is the yaw rate sensor. When it fails. it will disable all those systems.

You cannot reset the code until the repairs are done. Then you can clear it. If the light stays out, then the repair is successful.

If you replace this sensor, you will need an advanced scan tool to calibrate the sensor once installed.

REPLACEMENT

NOTICE: Do not separate the sensor from the bracket.

1. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL UPPER REAR
2. REMOVE RR CONSOLE BOX

3. REMOVE YAW RATE SENSOR
a. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector.
b. Remove the 2 bolts and yaw rate sensor.

4. INSTALL YAW RATE SENSOR
a. Install the yaw rate sensor with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 12.5 Nm (127 kgf-cm, 9 ft. lbs.)
b. Connect the yaw rate sensor connector.
5. INSTALL RR CONSOLE BOX
6. INSTALL CONSOLE PANEL UPPER REAR
7. PERFORM YAW RATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION See: Acceleration/Deceleration Sensor > Programming and Relearning > Zero Point Calibration of Yaw Rate Sensor and/or Brake Actuator Assembly
8. PERFORM DECELERATION SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION

Thank you for getting back to me. Where can I find the yaw rate sensor in the model of my car? I don't want to start taking the car apart without knowing where to look. I'd appreciate a step by step guide since I am still a noob when it comes to repairing cars.

I've found the console panel. I don't know what the RR console box is. Please help me out.

I've searched where it is supposed to be and I can't find it. I am lost at the moment.

It should be by where the seat belt buckles are located.

The procedure listed is for your specific car.

Okay, I attached another picture for you. It is the only location for this sensor.

I tried going up a year and down a year and even different models and it is still the same location.
