The speedometer went haywire and stopped working?

I would replace the VSS which should fix it. here is the location of the sensor which is on the transferase so you can change it out. Check out the images (below). Let us know how it goes.

I've got the truck listed above 1500 4x4 4l60e 5.3l. As I was driving to work the other day, I saw my instrument cluster go crazy and then not work since. I've checked 5-6 different fuses, and they all seemed to be fine. I have no clue as to what to really do now to solve the issue besides replacing the cluster.

If all of the gauges are having issues it can be the cluster itself, but we should check the ground and power inputs before getting a rebuilt/used cluster. The ground you need to check the is the G203 which is located at the upper left kick panel. I have also marked the fuses you need to check in the cluster wiring diagrams below, I have also included how to remove the cluster so you can get the wiring connector. Check out the images (below).
