Speedometer intermittent

My speedometer works sporadically. It does not seem to be associated with a certain speed. Sometimes if it is not working and I hit a bump, it will start up. Is it possible there is a loose cable or is there one? Thanks.

these are electrically controlled so you may have a loose ground to dash. there is also a module that runs speedometer so have it scanned for codes and check ground behind left kick panel for loose.
