The speedometer/gear display is not working

The sides display work but the middle is blank. The car sits for 9 months a year. I only run it in January, February and March in Florida. When I first reconnected the negative on the battery the display worked. The next day it did not. The next day it did again. The next day it went out again and has not returned in the last two weeks. I'm hoping it's a fuse problem. What do you think? If you need a image I can make one.
